Pudding Hamster

  • Pudding is actually an orange coloured mutation occuring in winter white dwarf hamsters, but many people argue that they are actually hyrids of both the campbell dwarf hamster and the winter white hamster, meaning that one of the parents is a campbell, and the other is a winter white.

  • This kind of breeding is greatly discouraged, as this affects the purity of the true breed, be it winter white or campbell...

  • There are deflects in a pudding winter white.. they usually turn more greyish when they grow up, and they tend to get fat very very easily. However, there are no concrete evidence found to prove that puddings are actually hybrids or just another colour mutation of the winter white breed...
  • As for disneyfamily, Pudding hamsters are simply too cute to ignore...
PS: As to let those who are interested in Pudding Hamster know that when you are buying Pudding hamster, there are generally a few types of colour - Pudding (Orange with Light Brown stripe colour - similar to the one on top) and Pudding white (Light Brown with brown or black stripe colour).

Update: Went to the pet store and realised that they increase the varieties name like Pudding orange and Pudding brown. Generally they are all types of puddings hamster with different shades of orange, I guess. :)
